Levenhowe Residents Association 17th April 2024: Meeting at Vale of Leven Golf Club

17th APRIL 2024 - Levenhow Residents Association's held a meeting at Vale of Leven Golf Club. There was a great turnout at the meeting with around 20 people in attendance, and Denis Blackwood chaired the meeting.

During the meeting, all aspects of the estate were discussed, including further steps we need to take in the way of flood protection for the estate. We also talked about the previous few months and the meeting that was held with Jackie Bailie, WDC Council and SEPA on the 31st January 2024. Other topics were flood protection equipment, contacting Heatherdale Residents regarding the burn, and creating a plan for the months ahead with work we can carry out ourselves.

We also discussed the finances of L.R.A, and it was brought up that maybe in the future, we could ask all residents to make a yearly payment to the funds of the L.R.A. This will be discussed at a later date.

Update from Denis Blackwood (19th April 2024)

1. I contacted Willie Glover (Heatherdale Residents) regarding a meeting to discuss what can be done about the banks of the burn. He was happy to do so and said he’d raise it at their AGM. He also confirmed that a contractor has been appointed to fix the damage on the wall discussed at our meeting.

2. I contacted Jackie Bailie regarding the minutes of the meeting on 31/01/2024 and also asked her to follow up with SEPA and Council on their plan for the burn. She said she will do both next week.
