Levenhowe Residents had their annual clear-up on Saturday, 24th August 2024, and the Levenhowe Residents Association would like to thank everyone who turned up from both streets. Considering the previous night's weather, the turnout was excellent.

The burn was high from the recent rain, and all the grass around the culvert was very wet. We cleared the grass area on top of the culvert and put all the grass and other waste into the skip, which filled up quickly. The morning/early afternoon all went smoothly, and you can see the difference in this area with our before and after photos.

Alan Burns also managed to go into the water and clear as much vegetation as possible from the culvert heading up the burn to Dalvait Road. Further up the burn, the water became too deep, and Alan could not go any further. It just shows what can be done in a couple of hours, and with the weather conditions, and the depth of the burn, it was a cracking job Alan managed to complete.

Levenhowe Residents Association would like to thank everyone again for their presence on Saturday, 24th August 2024 and would also like to remind residents of our next meeting, which is being held in the Vale of Leven Golf Club on 4th September 2024, with a starting time of 7 pm. We have updates from our April '24 meeting from West Dunbartonshire Council regarding the burn, and we would like to hear everyone's views relating to this to what they have said in emails.
